Luxury Auto Group Sells San Diego Stores

Luxury automotive group O’Gara Coach sold its La Jolla, Calif., dealerships to an undisclosed buyer.

The sale included Bugatti, Lamborghini, McLaren, Rolls-Royce and Bentley franchises, the latter located in Rancho Santa Fe in San Diego County. The stores have been rebranded to San Diego Luxury Motors.

Following the sale, O’Gara Coach has locations in Beverly Hills and Westlake Village in Los Angeles County, and a McLaren Service Center in Las Vegas. Its rooftops include Aston Martin, McLaren, Rolls-Royce, Bugatti, Bentley and Lamborghini.

According to sell-side advisor Haig Partners LLC, the transaction is meaningful for two reasons: the buy-sell market in California is in a strong position, and there is strong demand for premium and luxury brands in the U.S., the firm said.

It estimates that 45 dealerships have traded hands in California so far this year, up 52% year-over-year.
